Step up to Leadership

How to move from managing to leading.
Full day

Leadership requires so much of us in ordinary times. In these incredibly challenging times, getting leadership right is more important than ever.

This course is for people who are new to or aspiring to their first true leadership role.

Just because you’ve got the job title, it doesn’t mean you’ll have the confidence to lead, or the self-awareness to be truly objective about your strengths. You might feel like you’re stuck and not making progress. Or that others have some innate knowledge about what to do and how to do it, and you’ve not been let in on the secret.

Sometimes the knowledge and approaches that have got us where we are aren’t quite enough to take us to the next level.

This course will give you practical tools you can use to evaluate your current leadership abilities and to understand what you need to do to fill in any gaps. If there’s something you’re not aware of that’s holding you back, this course will help you find and deal with it.

It will bring you clarity about your personal strengths and how you can build on them to lead with purpose and authenticity.

I recently added the Step up to Leadership lead by Emma Walker-Cotton and it was really fantastic. I loved the blend of presentation from Emma, self reflection, group discussion and breakout rooms (all impressively seamlessly facilitated over zoom) and the range of industries and sectors my fellow attendees came from. The course was relevant to all, pacey and had great additional resources to read/watch etc. I left the course feeling inspired and have already encouraged colleagues to attend!
I found the course really insightful. would definitely recommend this course to anyone who has taken the step up to be a manager, or even if you are an existing manager, there are some great tips in the course!
Really insightful course
I thought the content and pace was excellent and the trainer really made it a fully inclusive session, allowing us all to relate the content to our specialised and diverse roles. Would definitely recommend this course to anyone looking to progress or new to Senior Management.
