Full day

Overview: Women in leadership

Only 6% of FTSE 100 CEOs are female, while the percentage of women on FTSE 250 boards stands at only 29.6%. It’s fair to say women face innumerable challenges when it comes to holding leadership roles.

This course offers you the opportunity to examine your leadership style, consider how it interacts with your personal value and career goals and identify how you can overcome the barriers you face as a female leader.

We will consider what may hold you back from progression in your career - and give you practical advice and strategies for how this can be tackled.

You will also gain an understanding of the latest research on gender in leadership and what your own challenges are as a female leader. You’ll leave the day with new insights and practical actions that’ll empower you to achieve success in your career.

Please note, for the online dates taking place in our Virtual Classroom we will take a break for lunch between 12.30pm and 2.00pm (1.5 hours).

Feedback

I attended the Women Advancing in Leadership Course. Emma was a fantastic trainer giving a great balance between theory, practice and networking opportunity. The course covers a lot, is backed by research and delivered in an engaging way. It covered areas I hadn't come across before and there is lots that I have been applying in my role since attending.
Emma was a fantastic trainer!
Really fantastic event. The day was packed full of interesting information & we had lots of opportunity to discuss and share our own experiences. Came away from the day with a lot of really useful tools to advance and a new network of women at a similar career level.
Fantastic
Positive and interesting techniques to focus on competencies and resilience. Good terminology which will help with strategic thinking and monitoring own progress. Good overview of why stereotypes exist and how we as professional females can help to change behaviour in the work place.
