We tend to get into bad habits that prevent us working optimally, yet everyone has the potential to manage themselves more effectively. You can unlock your personal effectiveness potential by taking a different perspective, applying a few key tools and developing good habits that are sustainable.

This course helps you to step back from your day to day work and take a look at how you work from a fresh perspective. You will learn five key tools for becoming more effective and work out how to apply them to your daily life.

Sessions include:

  • Taking a fresh look at how you work
  • Your time management preferences and how they affect you
  • The five keys to personal effectiveness
  • What is effectiveness and what is efficiency?
  • Techniques for becoming more effective
  • Techniques for becoming more efficient
  • Getting work done and avoiding procrastination
  • Organizing your environment effectively
  • Developing new and effective habits.

    This course is a practical workshop. By the end of the day you will be able to:

    • More effectively manage your time
    • More effectively manage your working environment
    • More effectively manage the impact that others have on your work
    • Get through more work and/or have a better work/life balance
    • Replace bad habits with good ones.

          Your facilitator

          Mark Procter

          Mark Procter's speciality is Strategic Leadership. Through his consulting business, Future Pace Development Ltd., Mark works with senior management teams to develop their business strategy. Mark has been lead and faculty on many business school executive education programmes, working with global organisations where he taught them strategy, strategic thinking and leadership. Outside of work, Mark is a keen mountaineer and has climbed, amongst many other peaks, Mount Everest which involved leading strategically, as well as a lot of physical effort!
