Training Administrator Role - What are employers looking for?

 

Looking for work as a Training Administrator?
 
Here are some of the key skills and attributes that people who are recruiting for these roles right now are looking for.
 
Core skills
There's a lot of emphasis on core administrative skills here are some that virtually every employer wants:
  • organising venue logistics
  • keeping accurate records
  • preparing training materials
  • producing and reporting on evaluations
In several jobs there is a "marketing" component and the role includes publicising events, raising the profile of the training function within the organisation;  or for training companies, assisting the sales team, and taking calls from prospective customers.
 
Key attributes
There is universal agreement on these, you'll absolutely have to have:
  • great communication skills, written and verbal
  • attention to detail - this is really important, many job descriptions refer to "meticulous" or "exceptional" attention to detail
  • ability to work in a team effectively
  • positive attitude
  • ability to work under pressure, and manage priorities well

  • Can you tell us about a time when you've had to work hard to build a good relationship with another team member?
About your ability to manage your time and prioritise:
  • Describe a typical day in your current job
  • Tell us about a time when you missed a deadline, why did it happen and what did you do about it?
 
What's the pay like?
