Overview

The most successful leaders in any field are those who can engage, excite and inspire people.

Few people have this talent naturally - most, including Steve Jobs, Sheryl Sandberg and Nelson Mandela had to learn how to do it. This course will show you the practical techniques you need to accelerate your journey to becoming a truly inspiring leader.

What you'll learn

An inspiring message

You can only inspire people if you have something inspiring to say - a vision for your team, department or organisation.

  • What is a vision and why does it matter?
  • The difference between vision, aspiration and hallucination
  • Three qualities of an effective vision
  • Three questions you must ask to discover your vision
  • Why great visions are discovered, not invented
  • Why great leaders begin with why

Powerful communication

Even the most inspiring message will fall flat if it is structured in the wrong way.

  • How to structure a compelling and inspirational message
  • The power of stories and how to find your story
  • Learning from the experts - twelve powerful influencing techniques from the world's most inspirational leaders.

Personal impact

The way you communicate your message is as important as the message itself.

  • Why credibility, confidence and connection are critical, and how to develop them.
  • Practical techniques to ensure that your voice and body enhance your message
  • How to get other people to feel purposeful, excited and determined
  • What Emotional Intelligence really means – the power of emotional states

Managing yourself

You can't inspire others unless you can manage yourself.

  • How to develop mental and emotional resilience
  • How to get more done and enjoy it - the power of focus
  • Why you need to become an expert at saying no
  • Authenticity – how to be a leader and still be you

    Who is it for?

Anyone in a leadership role who believes in what they do and wants to inspire others to join them.
